In the beginning there was a dream…
And it sounded like ,"Om is where the heart is.” And my heart is with all Shaktis, everywhere. WeMOOn manifesting Sistarhood, freedom of expression, love and support on our healing journeys. Our heart to create is strong; our ability to heal ourselves innate. Dreams, empires, relationships, community, art; we create, we love, we heal, we grow. That is were Shakti H’OM was born; in that heart space, dream space, where need meets desire. We live to create and dream. We dream to live in that effortless creative flow. It feels good, we feel it down in our bones good. Our essence as WeMoon is creativity in all we say, do, bring forth. And Shakti H’Om is that a heart space driven creative dedicated to supporting women everywhere on their healing journeys through numerous creative meditations and holistic healing modalities.
Who is the heart behind Shakti H’Om?
Adesh Puran Kaur, also Amanda Mary a Boston native, who graduated from Webster University in 2011 with a BFA in Dance and departmental honors for her Choreography. Since then she has worked and studied, taught and performed under Patravadi Mejudhon at her school in Hua-hin, Thailand. During her time as an artist and teacher in Thailand she lead Summer and Autumn Art camps for the children of Bangkok who came to Vic-Hua Hin to learn traditional Thai and western art forms and life skills.
From Thailand Adesh Puran, moved to Georgia where she danced with Advocate Arts, working to raise awareness about/and against Sex-trafficking, and aiding the mothers and children affected by it.
Upon moving back to St. Louis, MO, she danced with Leverage Dance theater, and later performed as an independent artist with Local Director Thomas Brady, and Local Vocal Artists Sarah Young.
Her artistic passions being founded in a path of live theater and imagination. She has participated in independent films, documentaries, and regional commercials.
Amanda is a true renaissance girl and artist ; Being petite didn’t stop her from pursuing the local and national modeling scene in an attempt to revolutionize beauty standards. She has been published in print and online. Her strong foundation in the performing and fine arts colors her personal spiritual practice. Spirit gave Adesh Puran/ Amanda a push and after a summer as a Magician’s Assistant /dancer her Kundalini yoga journey began. At the end of the season she began Kundalini Yoga Teacher training at the Sat Tirath Ashram in Kansas City. Where she participated in and graduated with her Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher training through KRI (Kundalini Yoga Research Institute.) Amanda dove into the healing arts thereafter. Since then she has helped start and participated in sacred women’s groups locally and nationally. She is a founding member and teacher at Bliss Center STL in its lifespan (16-19). She has since then studied and certified in SomaVeda Thai Bodywork Levels 1 and 2 (15-16,) received her License in Massage Therapy in Missouri (18.) In 2018 She was called to become an Ordained minister and Founded Shakti H’Om: The Kundalini Yoga and Wellness Creative. In 2019 Amanda recieved her Reiki 1 and 2 attunements and in the late winter of 2021 became a Reiki Master.
With her educational, artistic, and spiritual pursuits set high Amanda creates to heal, to love, and to leave the world a little more beautiful, loving, and rebellious than when she came into it.
She currently creates art independently and serves her community through Kundalini Yoga, Massage Therapy and Bodywork, Sound and Energy therapies, Dance, and Mediumship.
